Marianne van Berkel finished her fashion studies in Paris in 1986 at Esmod-Guerre Lavigne. After several years as a freelance designer in Paris and Californië, she launched her brand name Marğalé B.in 1990: a ‘one of a kind’swimwear collection.

Exclusive designs for all women: thinner,bigger,asymmetrical women

Her extended travels through West Africa taught her original and authentic ways in being resourceful with colors,materials and patterns.It inspired her to become to an innovative desiger using mostly earthy colours and basic materials(lycra,linen or rubber).The fabrics are mostly imported from France and Italy.

She sculpts with lycra and rubber,called moulding.This fitting has a correcting effect on the body.
